The Massive Cheating and Vote buying in Lanao del Sur, condemned by the Maranaos

Today, May 17, 2019, is the special day for Muslims because it is Friday. The people of Marawi and the rest of the province of Lanao del Sur are condemning the massive cheating and vote buying. Some Maranao voters said," the money won over religion".

In Marawi City, the incumbent Mayor was re elected as Mayor of Marawi City despite the unforgettable Marawi siege during his term. However, there is an alleged massive cheating Ang vote buying during the election in the said city.

One of the residents in Marawi said, " I did not get the Money because they want me to vote straight for governor, vice governor, congressman and mayor but how can I do that when I have a different mayor? I end up not getting the money." She added, "but majority of the IDPs in Marawi took advantage of the offer obviously because for the mayor alone, it was 3000 php. We cannot blame the IDPs in Marawi for grabbing that opportunity to get what was offered to them. On top of the 3000 php was the addition given by the governor, vice governor and congressman for the line up in support to the said mayor. People were tempted of course. We cannot blame thenlm because the candidates themselves offered it".

Some of the candidates find it unacceptable, therefore, this prayer rally. They expect to to hear from the Comelec.
